Kristina sims
Kristina is an educator, choreographer, and director residing in San Diego, CA. Originally from Kansas, she is the founder and director of the Wichita Flight showchoir. Flight was uniquely established as Wichita's only competitive showchoir, hoping to give students in the Wichita area the opportunity to participate in the arts in a way that wasn't offered in their community before. The group is a non profit organization comprised of students from 17 area high schools that meet once per week. In 2016, they received the honor of being named “Most Promising New Program” at the FAME Aspire awards.
Kristina also serves as a choreographer and clinician for various high school and community groups throughout Kansas and the Midwest. Some highlights have included having choreography featured on the Today Show, staging the Miss Kansas Outstanding Teen Pageant, serving as a lead dance instructor and choreographer for Christian Youth Theater – Wichita, and creating the Smorgaschorus Barbershop 2017 national competition show.
Before the founding of Flight, she taught 5th grade in Maize, KS. In addition to teaching, Kristina loves to travel, read, and spend time with her furry pal, Taquito.
ERik Hall
A dancer, choreographer, singer, and actor, Erik has been involved with music theater and showchoir since age 8. Growing up in northern Indiana, he embraced new challenges living and performing in Chicago while he completed his BS in Music Business, Business Administration, and Vocal Music at Elmhurst College. Inspirations in the community and industry dance worlds coaxed him to move to San Diego in 2011 to further his training. Erik moved to LA a year later to pursue the commercial dance industry. Since then, he has performed in various projects around LA. Some professional credits include music videos for Pharrell Williams and Alyson Stoner, television appearances on GLEE, The Voice, and The Good Place, national commercials for Xfinity and The GAP, and live events like the ALMA and Grammy Awards. Throughout his years, Erik has developed a rich passion for education and mentorship, and is honored to teach in many cities across the US.
LEXI Robson (KS ONLY)
Lexi Robson is originally from Ankeny, Iowa. She began dancing at the age of 3 and has lived and performed in Oklahoma City, Dallas, Chicago, and New York City, but currently resides in Marion, Iowa. Lexi attended Oklahoma City University on scholarship where she graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance.
Since graduation, Lexi has completed two contracts with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line dancing through the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas on the Navigator of the Seas and as the Dance Captain on the Enchantment of the Seas.
Lexi is a full-time freelance choreographer, clinician, and adjudicator working with over 30 high school and college show choirs and dance teams across the country and teaching at many performing arts camps. Her groups consistently achieve high placements and have won numerous awards for best choreography, design, and visual effect. This past year, Lexi was nominated for the Aspire Award of ‘Best New Choreographer’ at the Fame Show Choir National Finals in Chicago.
After growing up intensely training and studying the art of dance, Lexi is thrilled to share her passion and knowledge with equally passionate kids and directors all over the country.
MICHAEL KLEIN
Michael is the Vocal Music Director at Bonita Vista High School in Chula Vista, CA. He has an undergraduate degree (BA, Music Education) and a master’s degree (MA, Teaching) from Azusa Pacific University. He has conducted choral ensembles nationally and abroad, served as a coordinator and adjudicator at choral events, and has performed internationally as a soloist, choral singer and conductor in England, Ireland, Wales, Italy, South Korea and the Vatican. In addition to choral work, Michael has also worked in summer camp and youth outreach for ten years, serving as a counselor, musician, activity coordinator, videographer and photographer.
Angela Loganbill
Angela earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Friends University in 2012, and a degree in Music Education from Wichita State University in 2013. While at Friends University, Angela sang and toured with the Singing Quakers, Madrigals, and Concert Choir. After graduation she spent a summer singing Opera in Germany and France with Opera Classica Europa. Angela is currently the graduate teaching assistant for choral music at Wichita State University where she is pursuing her Master’s in Choral Conducting. There she sings with the WSU Concert Chorale and conducts Women’s Glee. Angela is active in the Wichita community as a member of the Wichita Chamber Chorale and the University Congregational Church Chancel Choir. Previously Angela has taught choral music at Andale High School, St. Mark’s Middle School, and Mead Middle School. She has also music directed shows, taught classes, and was the class coordinator for Christian Youth Theater Wichita.
Ryan Ehresman
Ryan could not be more excited to join Elevate 2020! With a degree in theatre arts from Sterling College, Ryan has travelled across the country and spent the last decade of his life as a performer & teacher. As a performer, his credits include working with Music Theatre Wichita, Florida Studio Theatre, Princess Cruise Lines and numerous others. As a teacher and choreographer, he has worked with countless theater organizations around the Wichita, KS area including Christian Youth Theatre, Music Theatre for Young People, and the award-winning ICT Flight Show Choir. Ryan loves acting and the theatre arts, but his true passion lies in teaching and sharing those gifts with others. Huzzah!
Madeline Logan
Singer, actress, dancer, and artist Madeline Logan is a student at Taylor University pursuing her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. A vivacious performer, she finds that her energy drives straight from embodying the truth she sees around her. Her most recent roles at Taylor University include Cinderella in Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods and Beatrice in William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. She also worked as charge scenic artist for Taylor Theatre from 2018-2019. Madeline looks forward to sharing her gifts and love for beauty, truth, and goodness with those around her.
Becca Walker
Becca is originally from Wichita, KS where she grew up participating in the arts all over the city. She currently resides in Oklahoma City where she teaches 2nd grade. Becca spends her summers teaching Broadway and Dance classes at Oklahoma Children’s Theatre. In her free time, Becca enjoys brushing up on her tap skills, being with her two dogs, and spending time with friends. She is excited to be a part of the Elevate Camp team this summer!
