A UNIQUE PERFORMING ARTS EXPERIENCE
Elevate History
Elevate Camp is a week long performing arts experience geared toward building skills in singing, dancing, performing, teamwork, and leadership. Elevate was established in Wichita, Kansas in 2014 through the award-winning Flight Showchoir. In 2019, Flight had the opportunity to expand to San Diego, California. In 2020 we even moved online, welcoming students from across the country.
After a 5 year hiatus—Elevate is back and so excited to be introducing the Elevate Showchoir Skills Summit. The Summit is a 3 day experience where students attend workshop-style sessions focused on Elevate’s four core pillars: The Sound, The Movement, The Performance, and The Mindset.
Elevate students will have the opportunity to work with top clinicians in the vocal and dance industries throughout the Summit, culminating in a friends & family showcase on the final day. In true Elevate fashion, The Summit is designed to bring students together from multiple area schools We are so excited to partner with multiple fantastic high school programs to open Elevate to students in various hubs! First we will begin the summer season at Neosho High School in MIssouri, and then we will partner with St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, KS.
While at camp, students are also sure to experience teamwork building, games, Q&A sessions, workshops, and more!

Do I need to have prior experience in order to attend camp?
Nope! Elevate is a time to try new things and grow as young performing artists. Whether you have been in 20 shows or have only sung in the shower, we want you to join! Our awesome clinicians make lessons fun and accessible for any experience level.
What should I expect in a day?
Lots of fun! Each day, students will begin in a full group warmup session to get the day started. After that, they will have time to connect with their separate teams. Each day there will be sessions in music, dance, performance, and mindset as well as other aspects of the performing arts all leading up to our final showcase! Our clinicians & counselors are top notch at crafting a day full of learning and fun ….plus some other fun fan favorites like theme days, word of the day, and Students Got Talent! Plan to make new friends, learn a lot, and have a GREAT 3 days.
What about lunch?
Great question! Students DO need to bring a lunch each day.
Daily Supervised Break: A supervised lunch time is provided each day to allow students to refuel and socialize. Students need to bring a lunch each day (refrigeration not provided). A variety of small snacks will be available for purchase on-site during designated break times.
No Outside Deliveries: For the safety of our participants and the security of the host facility, outside food deliveries (such as DoorDash or UberEats) are strictly prohibited.
Students may not leave campus during the lunch break.
What else should I bring?
You don’t need anything special! We encourage bringing a water bottle, but beyond that we’ve got you covered! We have some fun theme days if you want to participate—all the needed info can be found in our Google Drive after you enroll!
Is there a final performance?
Yes! All sessions of camp will perform a cumulative showcase. It’s a great time for friends and family to see what we’ve been working on. This is an informal showcase and is all about showing growth!
