A UNIQUE PERFORMING ARTS EXPERIENCE

Elevate History

Elevate Camp is a week long performing arts experience geared toward building skills in singing, dancing, performing, teamwork, and leadership. Elevate was established in Wichita, Kansas in 2014 through the award-winning Flight Showchoir. In 2019, Flight had the opportunity to expand to San Diego, California. In 2020 we even moved online, welcoming students from across the country.

After a 5 year hiatus—elevate is back and so excited to be collaborating with our friends at blue valley high school in overland park, kansas!

Elevate students will have the opportunity to work with top clinicians in vocal and dance industries to learn multiple songs and dances and participate in a variety of workshops.

While at camp, students are also sure to experience teamwork building, games, Q&A sessions, workshops, and more!

Where will Elevate be held?

This year we are so excited to be working in collaboration with the incredibly talented choirs at Blue Valley High School. Camp will take place there!

Do I need to have prior experience in order to attend camp?

Nope! Elevate is a time to try new things and grow as young performing artists. Whether you have been in 20 shows or have only sung in the shower, we want you to join! Our awesome clinicians make lessons fun and accessible for any experience level.

What should I expect in a day at camp?

Lots of fun! Each day, students will begin in a full group warmup session to get the day started. After that, they will have time to connect with their separate teams. Each day there will be sessions in music and dance as well as other aspects of the performing arts all leading up to our final showcase! Our clinicians & counselors are top notch at crafting a day full of learning and fun ….plus some other fun fan favorites like theme days, word of the day, and Students Got Talent! classes! Plan to make new friends, learn a lot, and have a GREAT week.

What should I bring to Camp?

You don’t need anything special! We encourage bringing a water bottle, but beyond that we’ve got you covered! We have some fun theme days if you want to participate—and will send out more information closer to camp.

Is there a final performance?

Yes! All sessions of camp will perform a cumulative showcase on Friday evening. It’s a great time for friends and family to see what we’ve been working on all week.

Who will be teaching the sessions?

Elevate is run and taught by professional educators and industry professionals. The leader of each session will be a fully qualified clinician with your student’s best experience in mind. Look for official pictures and bios later this spring!
